A special meeting of the Farmville Town Council is set for Tuesday to consider purchasing the Travis Building at 109 North Main Street in downtown Farmville.

According to a council notice, the meeting will be held at 3 p.m. in the council chambers at 116 North Main Street.

The special meeting has been requested “for the purpose of consideration in the purchase of 109 North Main Street (Travis Building) in the Town of Farmville and for the purpose of authorization of the issuance of public hearing notices,” stated the notice.
