VICTORIA — Every sheriff in the 61st House District has endorsed Republican candidate Tommy Wright Jr.

“I am honored that all of my sheriffs have endorsed my re-election campaign this fall,” said Wright, “and am grateful for the work they do on behalf of Virginia’s law enforcement and public safety community.”

Sheriffs endorsing Wright include Amelia County Sheriff Ricky Walker, Cumberland County Sheriff Darrell Hodges, Lunenburg County Sheriff Arthur Townsend, Mecklenburg County Sheriff Bobby Hawkins and Nottoway County Sheriff Larry Parrish.

Wright is seeking reelection to the house seat and faces opposition from Democrat Greg Marston.
