PE golf snatches tri-match win

The Prince Edward County High School golf team continues to have a strong early season as they defeated two more James River District teams last week at Kenbridge Country Club.

The Eagles had a tri-match against Bluestone and Central of Lunenburg at the Chargers home course.

The scores from the match ended with Prince Edward shooting a team low 183, while Lunenburg shot 194 as a team to claim second place.

The Bluestone Barons would be just off the pace as they had a team score of 195.

Henry Lutz was the medalist of the match shooting the lowest overall score of 38. The Eagles also got strong play from Niko Reinson with a score of 46, Mark Stanley with a 49, along with Brady Atkins and Jordan Conwell who each shot 50. The wins help bring the team to a 7-4 record.
