HAMPDEN-SYDNEY — Hampden-Sydney College has been named one of the 12 preppiest colleges in America by Thrillist.com.

According to Thrillist, Hampden-Sydney is ranked among the likes of Middlebury College, Dartmouth, Vanderbilt and Pepperdine.

This “finishing school for Southern gentlemen” is the oldest all-male private college in the country, having been a stronghold of starched collars and pastels since its founding in 1775, Thrillist said of the Tigers.
