Nationwide, Americans will unite in service to commemorate the remarkable way that so many came together following the 9/11 attacks. On Friday, from 9 – 11:30 a.m., High Bridge Trail needs volunteers to help develop a new trail in the park’s Rochelle Tract, located just off of High Bridge Trail about 1.6 miles east of Farmville’s Main Street trail crossing. The new “Dearing Trail” needs brush cleared, landscaping and blazes put up.

Please wear appropriate work clothes, gloves and bring drinking water. The park will provide transportation to the worksite from Farmville starting at the Charley’s parking lot at 9 a.m. Contact the park office at (434) 315-0457 for more information or for a spot on the van.
