Grace Sheffield Williams, 98, of Pamplin, died at her residence, Saturday, August 29, 2015. She was the wife of the late James “Jim” Andrew Williams.

Born in Farmville, March 20, 1917, Grace was a daughter of the late Allie Dowdy and Charles Sheffield. She was a member of Pamplin United Methodist Church and a homemaker.

She is survived by two daughters, Susan W. Hudson and husband Jim, and Jewel W. Harrison; one son, Anthony Thomas “Tony” Williams and wife Jodi, all of Pamplin; nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by two sons, James Andrew and Joseph Earl Williams, one daughter, Lucy Allie W. Goff, two brothers and two sisters.

A Celebration of her Life will be held at 6 pm Friday, September 4, at the Old Pamplin Fire House.
