Goochland dominates in XC meet

Several local schools recently competed in a four-team cross-country event that saw Goochland placing runners in the top three positions in the boys event and the girls event.
The team competition for the boys saw Goochland take first place with a score of 15. They were followed by Prince Edward with a score of 103, Cumberland with 109 and Buckingham with 119 points.
The top five individual performances all came from the Goochland Bulldogs as Adam Norma finished in first place.
In the girls meet, Goochland again grabbed first place in the team competition with a score of 25.
The Buckingham Knights finished second with a 58, while Prince Edward had a score of 65.
Cumberland did not have enough runners to place in the team competition.
The top individual finishers for the girls event were: first place — Jill Pillow/Goochland, second place — Brittany Bruce/Goochland, third place — Madeline Muniz/Goochland, fourth place — Ebony Jones/Cumberland and fifth place — Natalie Cheyenne/Prince Edward.
