The expected inclement weather this weekend has resulted in changes for several area events.

The Fall Farm Fest, sponsored by Historic Buckingham Inc and Buckingham Farm Bureau, originally planned for Saturday, has been cancelled due to expected inclement weather.

The Prospect Vol. Fire Department’s annual Harvest Sale, scheduled for Saturday, has been postponed to Saturday, Nov. 7.

The Virso Community Day, scheduled for Saturday at the Virso Community Center, has been cancelled due to the weather.

Due to the weather, the Farmville Jaycees announce the cancellation of the First Fridays event scheduled for Friday. The Jaycees are grateful to the community and local businesses for support provided during the 2015 season.

The Southside SPCA Open House, which was scheduled for Sunday, October 4, has been postponed to Sunday, Nov. 1 from 1- 4 p.m.
