BUCKINGHAM — County supervisors in Buckingham will hold a public hearing on Monday at 7 p.m. for the county’s proposed comprehensive plan.
The hearing will be held during the board of supervisors’ regular meeting in the County Administration Complex on U.S. Route 60.
The Code of Virginia requires that each locality have a comprehensive plan and that it be updated at least every five years.
The plan addresses numerous aspects of the county and its future, including residential growth, industry, business, zoning and transportation.
Numerous work sessions and public forums have been held regarding the plan.
County staff and planners have been working with the Farmville-based Commonwealth Regional Council in revising the document.
