Codevilla to speak at H-SC

On Thursday, Hampden-Sydney College will host Dr. Angelo M. Codevilla as he delivers a talk entitled “14 Years After 9/11: Understanding Our Complex World in 2015.”
Codevilla is professor emeritus of international relations at Boston University. He formerly served as a U.S. Navy officer leaving active duty as a lieutenant, junior grade, and was the recipient of a Joint Service Commendation Medal.
Codevilla’ s books and articles range from French and Italian politics to the thoughts of Machiavelli and Montesquieu to arms control, war, the technology of ballistic missile defenses and a broad range of international topics.
He graduated from Rutgers in 1965, having studied natural sciences, languages and politics. After receiving a Ph.D. in 1973, he began to teach political science.
The talk begins at 7:30 p.m. at Crawley Forum. It is free and open to the community. This event is sponsored by the H-SC Wilson Center for Leadership in the Public Interest.
