Calvin Barry Matthews, 52, of Richmond formerly of Cumberland, departed this life on Saturday, August 29, 2015 in Richmond.

He is survived by two brothers, William Matthews (Faye) and Archer Conrad Matthews; six sisters, Barbara Nelson (Rocky), Florine Daughty, Vicky Morton (Danny), Robin Stocks (Vernon), Diane Watson (Cecil) and Cheryl Scott (Greg), along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Public viewing will be held Thursday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Marian Gray Thomas Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held Friday, 11 a.m. at Rising Zion Baptist Church, Cumberland, with interment in the church cemetery.  Rev. Joe Davenport, officiating.
