Tuggle: Neighbors attend reunions and visit

August 7 — “The brook would lose its song if the rocks were removed.”
Well, we just welcomed August. It is hard to believe the first seven months of 2015 are gone.
The Tarltons, James, Jeannette and Jimmy attended the Shelton Family reunion in Marshall, N. C., on July 20.
The descendants of Luther and Dora Stockton met July 25 for their annual family reunion at the Gee-Price center, Fuqua School. Rhonda S. Rowland organized the reunion. Joining Ronda were Coy Lee and Judy Harris of Tennessee; Charles Harris and Linda of Tennessee; Floyd Higgins and Wanda Nash; Wilkie Chaffin; Carolyn McLemore of Tennessee; Ivy and Mike Sizemore of Clarksville; Gearldean and Danny Newcomb of Buffalo Junction; Barbara and Gregg Harris of Midlothian; Cameron and Carol Shelton and children Caitlyn and Maggie of Richmond; Richard and Margaret Stockton of Tuggle; Lon, Mary Jo and Sean Stockton of Farmville; Rusty Farmer of Richmond; Penn Farmer and family of Richmond; Jason and Tessa Harris and children Kailyn, Carter, and Greyson of Moseley; Meg and Jeffrey Eastman and children Elliot, Ansel and Malinda;
On July 24 Mrs. Flora Bolt took KFC and had lunch with her cousin Cecil East and wife Peggy. She spent a most enjoyable afternoon talking about Old Times” and family news.
On July 26 Mrs. Flora Bolt, Jennifer Bolt, Haley and Payden Murdock had lunch with Mrs. Judy Bolt and her son Chris.
Mr. and Mrs. Richard Stockton traveled to Richmond on July 26 to visit with Jean and Larry Derrenbacker. They visited Mrs. Beverly Schulz and daughter Emma from Crystal Beach Florida and Jonathan Derrenbacker of Midlothian who were here visiting in the home of her parents the Derrenbacker’s.
On July 31 the Prospect Happy Hats met at Miller’s Country Store for lunch. Ann Norton was in charge and those joining her were: Hilda Allen, Jean Covington, Elfrieda Kerns, Betty Meadows, Carol Schall, Margaret Stockton, Pat Smith, Betty Sumner, and Jeannette Tarlton.
Friends and neighbors are praying for a speedy recovery for: Fred Floyd, Elfrieda Kerns, Betty Jean Bolt and Mildred Harvey Shanks.
Friends and neighbors are extending their heartfelt sympathy to Pat Smith and her family on the death of Pat’s mother.
The members of Appomattox P.E. Presbyterian Church at Tuggle invite you to worship. The Rev. Chuck Klotzberger will be with them Sunday.
The membership of Davis Memorial Presbyterian Church at Prospect invites you to worship; Sunday School is at 10 a.m. with worship at 11 a.m. The Rev. Caitilin Hoy will be with them this Sunday.
Calvary Chapel-Farmville, 301 Industrial Park Rd., invites you to worship with them on Sunday at 10:30 a.m. and Wednesday evening for Bible Study at 7 p.m.
