RICHMOND — Cumberland Commonwealth’s Attorney Patricia Scales has been named to the Virginia Lawyers Media list of influential women in Virginia.

According to the Virginia Lawyer’s Weekly website, the awards “recognize the outstanding efforts of women in all fields, including law, business, health care and education. The honors are given to individuals who are making notable contributions to their chosen professions, their communities and society at large.”

“I was exceedingly honored to receive this award,” Scales said. “I’ve been the Commonwealth’s Attorney in Cumberland since June 1, 1995, and my job is gratifying in that feel that I’m serving the public.”
