Four generations of the family of the late Jacob and Helen Randolph recently held their first family reunion in Farmville.  The celebration commenced Aug. 7 with a meet-and-greet reception at the Robert Russa Moton Museum. Festivities continued on Saturday with a prayer breakfast and a memorial tribute at the museum where a scholarship fund was established in memory of the family’s matriarch, Helen Brown Randolph, a 1917 graduate of Hampton Institute (currently known as Hampton University). This was followed by a fun-filled family picnic at Wilck’s Lake. The reunion culminated on Sunday with worship at the family’s home church, Sharon Baptist, in Cumberland.
