High Bridge will be the location for an August summer night sky program starting at 9 p.m. on Saturday.
This astronomy program will concentrate on the central region of our galaxy, the Milky Way, and will showcase many deep sky objects such as nebulae, double stars, and star clusters. Visitors will get a look at many celestial features through a telescope and astronomical binoculars. A laser sky tour will guide visitors’ eyes to the bands of the Milky Way and to several sparkling constellations.
This event is free, but there will be a $4 parking fee. Arrive at the River Road parking area at 8:30 p.m. to allow time to walk the one and a quarter miles to the center of High Bridge.
