Redbud Club Plans For The Coming Year

The Redbud Garden Club held its May meeting on May 26 at the home of Janet Higgins with Alice Metts as co-hostess.
The annual business meeting included making plans for the coming year.
Arrangement winners for May included “Southern Charm,” an arrangement featuring only a single magnolia bloom with any foliage: blue ribbons — Liz Dunn, Sarah Schember and Jo Smith; red ribbons — Ann Ligon and Patsy Miessler; yellow ribbon — Rebecca Giles.
“Flight of the Bumble Bee,” an arrangement of peonies featuring a bumble bee: blue ribbon — Rebecca Giles; red ribbon — Dottie Fahrner, Janet Higgins, and Geraldine Sanderson; yellow ribbon — Ann Ligon and Sarah Schember.
Horticulture exhibitors were Rebecca Giles, five blue, two red and one yellow; Janet Higgins, one blue, three red; Audrey Robinson, two blue, three red, and one yellow.
