Library names top summer readers

The Farmville/Prince Edward Community Library celebrates the top two readers for the first day of “Read To The Rhythm,” the 2015 Summer Reading Program for the Central VA Regional Library. Pictured are, from left, front, Robin Buckalew, Piedmont Soil & Water Conservation District, Aurelia Barber with mom Amorette Barber, back, Caleb Trent, with Caleb’s mom, Meta Trent. The Buckingham County Public Library will have programs on Thursdays from:  10:30 – 11:15 a.m. for ages preschool – 3rd grade, and 11:45 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. for mixed ages. The Farmville/Prince Edward Community Library will have programs on: Mondays from 10:30 -11:15 a.m. for preschool ages, 11:45 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. for grades 3 – 5; and Tuesdays from 10:30 – 11:15 a.m. for ages kindergarten – 2nd grade and 11:45 a.m.- 12:30 p.m. for mixed ages. The Summer Reading Program ends this week for each branch.
