Downtown History Walk Planned

High Bridge Trail State Park will hold a Downtown Farmville History Tour on July 28 at 7 p.m. Meet a Park interpreter at the Trail Plaza in Farmville adjacent to Charley’s parking lot for a tour of downtown historic Farmville along High Bridge Trail. On this evening, the tour will go west along the Trail to Buffalo Creek, focusing on Farmville’s architecture and its economic and social impact on the community. Some attractions include the Farmville Dispensary, South Side Rail Road Depot, Farmville Mills, Confederate Hospital, N. & W. Passenger Station, Stanley Park and the Junction Canal.
