Twin Lakes Notes Weekend Events

Twin Lakes State Park announces the following events:
Friday, June 19, in the Interpretive Circle at 11 a.m. “Creature Feature: Canines,” learn what types of wild canine species live in our area; 2 p.m. “Geocaching 101,” use space age technology to find caches hidden throughout the park; 4 p.m. “Archery,” learn all about archery from the rangers, then test your luck on our range, $5 per person or $25 per group (closed toed shoes required), meet at the Archery Range just past the boat ramps; 7:30 p.m. “Meet New Friends Campfire,” make some s’mores and get to know fellow campers at the fire circle behind Shelter 1;
Saturday, June 20, at the Concession Stand, 10 a.m. “Junior Rangers,” become an honorary Junior Ranger with Twin Lakes State Park; this daylong event will include fishing, canoeing, hiking, archery, and nature programs; each participant will be awarded a badge and certificate of completion, cost is $10 per child (spots are limited).
Sunday, June 21, at the Concession Stand 11 a.m. “Father’s Day Fishing Tournament,” annual fishing tournament where each angler will be awarded a certificate for participation and top catches will be given trophies, register by contacting the Park Main Office.
