WINGINA, June 30 — Rachel Ballowe, 55, of Wingina, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 28, 2015 in Charlottesville. She was born March 20, 1960 to Ruby Kidd of Wingina and the late Lawrence Kidd. She was a retired school bus driver for Buckingham County Schools.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband of 30 years, Kenneth Ballowe Sr.; three children, Shannon Kidd, Amanda Ballowe (Trampas) and Kenneth Ballowe Jr. (Marissa); five grandsons, Dylan Kidd, Trey Carter, Trevor Carter, Easton Allen and Kyle Ballowe; one step-granddaughter that she loved as her own, Stephanie Spring; two brothers, Melvin Kidd (Beth) and Milton Kidd (Pam) and many nieces and nephews, all of Wingina.

Mrs. Ballowe was a loving wife, mother and daughter.  She was a joy to be around.  She will be missed by many but never forgotten.

Funeral services will be held on July 1 at 2 p.m. at Spears Mountain Baptist Church with interment in the Kidd Family Cemetery in Wingina.
