PSWCD Announces Poster Contest Winners

More than 400 posters were entered in the 2015 Piedmont Soil and Water Conservation District poster contest — “Local Heroes: Your Hard Working Pollinators.”  Posters were judged by Longwood Center for Visual Arts (LCVA) Education Curator Emily Graebic.  All poster contest participants received certificates and bookmarks and grade level winners were awarded ribbons. The top three overall winners were awarded string bags. Madisen Tillerson, this year’s grand winner, is a first grade student at Prince Edward Elementary School. She won a $25 gift card.  The top three posters will be on display at LCVA for the month of June.
