JUNE 16 — Gideon Walton Jr., (Pete), departed this earthly life on Saturday, June 6, 2015. He was born to the late Gideon Walton Sr. and Pearl Bernice Walton on January 7, 1956.

Mr. Walton was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church. He received his education in the Prince Edward County School System.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving mother, Pearl Bernice Walton; siblings, Reginald (Daisy) of Richmond, Geraldine Pride (Howard) of Meherrin, Willis of Richmond, Rosemary Bigger (Alexander) of Richmond, Tammy Cheatham of Meherrin, Mable Walton (Roger) of Fayetteville, NC, Terrence (Wanda) of Meherrin and David (Tarnasha) of Keysville; two aunts, four uncles, eight nephews, 10 nieces, 32 great nieces and nephews and cousins too numerous to count. He also leaves behind a host of friends that will miss him too.

A funeral service was held Saturday, June 13 at New Bethel Baptist Church, Meherrin, with interment in the church cemetery, with Pastor Haney Thomas Jr. officiating.
