Cumberland Honors Outstanding Teachers

Cumberland County Public Schools’ Teachers of the Year are educators who inspire the love of learning in all students, show concern for individual students, and display ability and willingness to work cooperatively with fellow professionals. They are also able to work effectively with the community and have demonstrated innovative practices.

This academic year’s Teachers of the Year are: for Cumberland Elementary School, fourth grade science teacher Rachel Price; for Cumberland Middle School, eighth grade English teacher Devonna Blevins-Marble; and for Cumberland High School, Spanish teacher Myrna Barr.
