PERRY, NY — Hampden-Sydney senior midfielder Thomas Armstrong (Charlotte, NC/Charlotte Latin) was named a USILA Honorable Mention All-American for the third season in a row on Tuesday.
Armstrong is just the eighth Hampden-Sydney student-athlete in all currently offered sports to be a three-time All-American and the fifth lacrosse student-athlete to earn that distinction.
Also, a three-time All-ODAC performer, Armstrong received first-team All-ODAC honors this spring and garnered the most votes for all midfielders for the second year in a row. Armstrong led the team in goals with 32 and was second in points with 43. He scored at least one goal in 14 of 16 games and posted a season-best six points on five goals and one assist vs. Mary Washington. He finishes his career seventh in H-SC history for career goals with 115, 10th in points at 160, and third in career midfielder points.
