CHESTER, May 21 — Pauline (Polly) Harris Christian of Chester, formerly of Buckingham, passed away Wednesday, May 20, 2015. She was born February 14, 1938 in Cumberland. She was the widow of Leslie Haden Christian and daughter of Thomas Alfred and Mattie (LeSueur) Harris.

Mrs. Christian was a loving, caring wife and mother. She was a member Bethlehem Baptist Church where he served as a deaconess.

She is survived by her sons, Terris Christian of Chester and Jason Christian (Debbie) of Blacksburg; three grandchildren, Catherine, Rachel, and Matthew; and her siblings, Elizabeth Dunkum (Marvin), Kenneth Harris (Janice), and Edward Lee Harris all of Buckingham.

There will be a visitation on Friday, May 22 at 6 p.m. at Dunkum Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 23 at 11 a.m. at Bethlehem Baptist Church, Richmond. The burial will follow at 4 p.m. at Rocky Mount United Methodist Church, Dillwyn.

Donations can be given to Bethlehem Baptist Church.
