RICE, March 31 — Robert Ray Carr, 53, of Rice, passed away on Saturday, March 28, 2015.

He is survived by his father, Billy Joe Carr Sr.; his mother, Frances H. Combs; a brother, Thomas Carr and wife, Ethel of Prospect; two sisters, Connie Bryant and husband, Donnie of South Boston, and Wanda Bryant and husband, Edward of Farmville; six nieces, two great-nieces and one nephew. He was preceded in death by his brother, Billy Joe Carr Jr.

A graveside service will be held Friday, April 3 at 2 p.m. in Concord Baptist Church Cemetery. Family will receive friends after the service in the fellowship hall. The Reverend Rick Caldwell will be officiating the service.

Memorial contributions may be made to Rice Volunteer Fire Department.
