Sympathy is extended to the Snoddy family of New Canton. Ella Ruth Snoddy, 91, went home to be with the Lord February 10. A funeral service was held February 14 at Welcome Wesleyan Church in New Canton. She will be greatly missed by all.

Welcome home to Linda Allen, of Dillwyn, who recently was hospitalized. She is said to be getting along nicely.

Sympathy is extended to the Speaks family of Cumberland. Charlotte Jean Speas, 82, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 11. Graveside services were held on February 13, at Jones Chapel Baptist Church in Cumberland. She will be greatly missed by all.

Loaves of Love food pantry is operated by the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Cartersville. This food pantry is designed for Cumberland county residents, which includes Cartersville. The next food distribution will be held Sunday, February 22 from 2-3 p.m. for those 60 and older and disabled veterans; then from 3-5 p.m. for those 59 years and younger. Individuals may qualify under age 59 based on employment and income. They must bring in two forms of ID, including a photo ID and proof that they reside in Cumberland (such as an electric bill, tax bill or voter ID.
