The Farmville Police Department, with help from many donors, Walmart personnel, and the Virginia Department of Social Services, held its annual Operation Blue Christmas, taking local children on a shopping spree at Walmart last week, many of the youngsters purchasing items for family members, rather than spending the $200 solely on themselves.
