Editor, The Herald:

On November 1, Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts in the Farmville area collected and delivered 2,900 pounds of canned food to Farmville Food Pantries. The troops and packs participate in the Scouting for Food Drive annually across the country; 2,900 pounds is nearly double the amount collected last year. ‘Thank you’ to everyone that was able to contribute and help the Scouts demonstrate points of the Scout pledge and law “to help other people at all times” and “a Scout is Helpful.”
