RICE, October 23 — Ashley Marie Giles, 21, of Rice, passed away on Saturday, October 18, 2014. She was born in Farmville on July 6, 1993 to Jason Giles and Yoronda Jackson Giles.
She was a very kind hearted, generous, caring, loving daughter. She had overwhelming love for family and especially her sisters who she loved dearly. She was known for her sense of humor and always knew how to make you laugh. Miss Giles was a hard working, dedicated young lady. She loved to go to church, she had a joyful spirit for the Lord and loved to sing praise and worship music.
She attended Prince Edward County Public Schools at an early age and later attended Chesterfield County Schools. She graduated from Matoaca High School in 2011 and attended Virginia State University. She was employed at Kmart in Colonial Heights and then relocated to Farmville in 2013 where she began working at Yak Attack as a shipping clerk.
Miss Giles leaves behind to cherish her memory, her parents, sisters, Asia Giles and Aliyah Jackson both of Chesterfield, and Kayla Swann of Hampden Sydney; grandparents, Charles and Catherine Jackson, and Glenn and Sherry Giles; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 24 at 2 p.m. in the Calvary Tabernacle Church, 21696 Prince Edward Highway, Farmville, with interment to follow at Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to gather at The Life Center, across from Calvary Tabernacle Church, after interment.
Family will receive friends on Thursday, October 23 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Puckett Funeral Home.
