AUGUST 14 — Dennis Hatfield, 79, of Farmville, passed away on Monday, August 11, 2014. He was born in Wharncliffe, WV on September 29, 1934 to the late William and Tennessee Trent Hatfield.

He was a hard working Christian man who retired as Supervisor at Piedmont Geriatric Hospital.

Mr. Hatfield is survived by his wife, Freda Hatfield; a son, Dennis G. Hatfield of Midlothian; two daughters, Deanna H. Loveday of Powhatan and Katrina H. Dunn of Farmville; two brothers, Raymond Hatfield of Columbus, OH and Kenneth Ray Hatfield of Farmville; a sister, Violet Bradford of Wharncliffe, WV; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, James, Orville and Columbus Hatfield.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 15 at 7 p.m. in the Chapel of Puckett Funeral Home. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
