Buckingham Man Dies In Single-Vehicle Accident

MT. RUSH — A 56-year-old Buckingham County man was killed in a single-vehicle accident on Monday, July 7, at approximately 10:25 p.m. on Miller Camp Road, State Route 691, according to Virginia State Police spokeswoman Corinne Geller.
“Virginia State Police Trooper E.B. Hallman Jr. responded to a fatal crash Monday evening (July 7) in Buckingham County. The crash occurred at 10:25 p.m. on Route 691, approximately three miles south of Route 24,” Geller notes.
“A 1997 Kia Sportage was traveling south on Route 691 when it ran off the left side of the road and struck a tree. Its driver, Wayne M. Glover, 56, of Buckingham…died at the scene. He was not wearing a seat belt and was the vehicle’s only occupant,” she explains.
Geller says the cause of the crash remains under investigation at this time.
