Happy Birthday wishes go out this week to Donna Cooke, of Cartersville, celebrating on Sunday, March 30, James (JR) Smith, of Farmville, celebrating on Monday, March 31, and Debbie England, of Dillwyn, celebrating on Wednesday, April 2.

Our thoughts and prayers for a continued speedy recovery go out to all those who are sick and shut-in.

Our sympathy is extended to the Wiseman family of Buckingham. Dorothy Wiseman went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 2. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 5 at 11 a.m. at the Buckingham Community Cemetery. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

James and Virginia Boyles, of Cumberland, along with their friend Gaynelle Hendrick, of Richmond, enjoyed a time of great food and fellowship at a Cumberland Restaurant on Thursday, March 20. The Boyles also visited in the home of Billy and Louise Boyles in Amelia on Friday, March 21.

Happy Anniversary wishes are sent out to Charles and Margaret Yates, of Dillwyn, celebrating on Tuesday, April 1 and David and Pat Hawks, of Cumberland, celebrating on Wednesday, April 2.

Bradley Carter of North Carolina, spent a few days with his sister, Ann Carter in Dillwyn.

Spreading God’s Gifts Inc., of Buckingham, is a non-profit local organization that helps individuals and families in their hour of need. All are invited to come and learn how to help. Their next regular monthly meeting will be held on Tuesday evening, April 1 at 6:30 p.m. In the conference room of the Buckingham County Public Library. The Buckingham County Christian Fellowship Association will hold their regular monthly meeting on Saturday, April 7 at 5 p.m. at Hatcher Baptist Church in Cumberland. All members are asked to attend and bring a covered dish. Following this there will be The Association’s Annual Flower/Plant Exchange. Barry Miles, of Cumberland will have an afternoon of Southern Gospel Music at Heritage Hall Nursing Home of Dillwyn on Friday, April 4, beginning at 4 p.m. All are invited to attend.
