The deadline for registering to vote in the May 6 election to pick a new mayor for the Town of Farmville is Monday, April 14.

Make sure you register to vote before you file your federal income tax returns.

The election, which will also choose between two new faces in Ward A, sees Margaret Taylor-Collins, Carl U. Eggleston, and David E. Whitus on the ballot for mayor.

Greg Cole and Cory Wingo are vying in Ward A, with unopposed incumbents, Vice-Mayor Armstead D. Reid in Ward C, Sally Thompson in Ward B, and At-Large councilman Thomas Pairet rounding out the ballot.

Every vote counts.
