DECEMBER 31 — Mildred Virginia Wilmoth Martin, 84, went to be with her Heavenly Father on Thursday, December 26, 2013

Mrs. Martin was a graduate of Southside School of Practical Nursing. She was a loving, caring, and gracious wife, mother, and a friend whose bright smile and laughter and good southern cooking will be missed. She was the Quintessential Southern Belle—always a Lady.

She is survived by a son, Bradley Steven Martin and his wife, Ida; four grandchildren, Rick Wood, John Wood, Holly Kellum, and Virginia Palmieri; three great-grandchildren; numerous beloved nieces and nephews whom she loved each and every one. She leaves behind many devoted friends, especially Virginia Gunter. She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd A. Martin, children, Gail Maxine Martin, Dennis Michael Martin, and Donald Wilmoth Martin.

A memorial service was held Sunday, December 29 at the Browning-Duffer Funeral Home.

The Browning-Duffer Funeral Home, Keysville, was in charge of arrangements.
