NOVEMBER 28 — June Marie Spittle, 82, of Farmville, passed away on Tuesday, November 26, 2013. She was born in Danville on August 27, 1931 to the late Marie Scearce Farthing and Ryland Farthing.

She grew up in Danville but later moved to Southside Virginia. She was an avid Atlanta Braves Fan and enjoyed watching her sons grow up playing baseball.

Mrs. Spittle is survived by her husband, John Spittle; two sons, “Chuck” Wooding (Debbie) of Farmville and Dale Wooding (Ann) of Burkeville; two sisters, Barbara Roberts (John) of Lynchburg and Sandra Phillips (Eugene) of Alton; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, December 8 at the Burkeville Baptist Church at 3 p.m.
