Burglary, Robbery Suspects Arrested

FARMVILLE — The Farmville Police Department has arrested two suspects in connection with the October 10 break-in at Marion’s Bi-Rite on North Main Street.

Arrests were also made in connection with an August 14 burglary at the Cash And Carry Convenience Store on West Third Street and an August 24 robbery at a residence, the department announced in a Friday press release.

Police had responded to a burglar alarm at Marion’s Bi-Rite and the officers discovered that forced entry had been made into the building. With the assistance of the Cumberland Sheriff’s Department, two suspects were “quickly identified,” the press release states.

Police say one of the suspects was out on bond after being arrested previously in connection with the Cash And Carry Convenience store burglary. Both suspects are being held without bond at Piedmont Regional Jail, the department states.

The second suspect in the Cash And Carry Convenience Store burglary remains incarcerated at Piedmont Regional Jail, according to the department’s press release.

Three suspects, meanwhile, have been arrested and charged in connection with the August 24 robbery. Police say the victim reports being assaulted and robbed of money and jewelry while attending a party. The three suspects are being held without bond at Piedmont Regional Jail, according to the police department’s press release.
