July 18 — Happy Birthday wishes are sent out to Frankie Jones of Winginia, celebrating on Friday, July 19; Marie Adams, of Farmville, celebrating on Sunday, July 21; and Chris Cooke, of Cartersville, celebrating on Thursday, July 25.

Spreading God’s Gifts Inc. of Buckingham would like to thank everyone supporting the dinner concert and bake sale auction on Saturday, July 13, at the VFW Hall of Buckingham. A total of $1,025 was raised.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to all those who are sick and shut-in.

Larry and Barbara Barone, of Cumberland, and Jimmy and Judy Cogdill visited in the home of Ruby Cogdill in Cumberland on Sunday afternoon, July 14.

Spreading God’s Gifts Inc. will host an non-denominational worship service on Thursday evening, July 25, at 7 p.m. at the VFW Hall in Buckingham. There will be special music by Red Clay featuring Butch Davis and Lindsey Absher, both of Dillwyn, and bringing God’s word will be the Rev. Jimmy Dunn of Buckingham.

Everyone is cordially invited to attend. A donation box will be available. Monies will be used to further the ministry and help others in their hour of need.

Refreshments will follow and will include drinks and cookies.

Maranatha Baptist Church located, on Tuggle Road in Farmville, will host their annual Vacation Bible School Sunday, July 21 through Thursday, July 25. Bible School (for ages three to 13) will kick-off on Sunday. All are invited to come and register Sunday evening, July 21 from 5:30 – 8:30 p.m. There will be a picnic with hotdogs and hamburgers with all the trimmings. Monday, July 22 through Thursday, July 25 Bible School will be from 6:30-8:30 p.m. each evening.
