PRINCE EDWARD – Virginia State Police Sr. Trooper J.T. Farris is investigating a traffic crash that claimed two lives Sunday in Prince Edward County, according to an email from the Virginia State Police. The single-vehicle crash occurred at 10:55 p.m. on Route 609, approximately 1.8 miles west of Route 626.

“A 2002 Dodge Ram pickup truck was eastbound on Route 609 when it ran off the right side of the road,” the email from State Police Public Relations Director, Corinne N. Geller stated. “The vehicle overturned and then struck a tree. Both the vehicle's driver and passenger died at the scene. The cause of the crash remains under investigation at this time.”

Listed as deceased were driver, Marco Lee, 35, of Philadelphia, and passenger Tiera S. Corbett, 25, also of Philadelphia.
