The Prince Edward Basketball Program held its second annual basketball camp this past week. Co-camp directors John Pruitt and James Scott stress that community and youth involvement is key to building the program. “If you want to continually have success in your sports programs, you have to have strong youth development and community support,” said Pruitt. “It is very important to teach and build skills that kids can continue to develop. Coach Scott and I are very passionate about giving back to the kids in the community and to our own players. We really feel the campers had a great experience this week. They got the opportunity to win great prizes, build their fundamentals, and make new friends.” The camp was sponsored by Soakers Car Wash, El Patron, Baileys Auto Service, Haley Auto Mall, Dr. Vara Bonagiri and Farmville Chiropractic Center ( Dr. Deregibus).
