CUMBERLAND, June 18 – David Karl Pedrick, 77, of Cumberland, passed away after a long illness on Friday, June 14, 2013 in Farmville. He was born March 4, 1936 in Hackensack, New Jersey to the late Raymond M. and Anne White Pedrick. He served his country in the United States Marine Corps. He retired from the trucking industry after working over 50 years. Mr. Pedrick loved golfing and cooking. He loved watching football and was an avid VA Tech fan. He also loved watching old movies and collecting antique cars.

He was survived by his wife, Patricia Anne Pedrick of Cumberland; stepson, Charles Thomas and spouse, Robin of Prospect; stepdaughter, Tammy Harman of Cumberland; brothers, Raymond M. Pedrick Jr. and wife, Karin Gauvin of Ware, MA and Martin Pedrick and wife, Deanna Putnam of San Angelo, TX; sisters, Brenda Eyles of Whiting, NJ and Sharon Herelehy of Honesdale, PA; grandchildren, John Luker Jr. and Sarah Harman both of Cumberland and special friend, Rosie a Penbrook Welsh Corgi. He is preceded in death by a sister, Gail Wood.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 22 at 11 a.m. at Payne Memorial United Methodist Church, Cumberland. Family will receive friends on Saturday from 10 a.m.-11 a.m. at the church.
