May 2 – Happy Birthday wishes go out to Carol Luke, of Cumberland, celebrating on Sunday, May 5, Patsy Gilliland, of Nathalie, celebrating on Monday, May 6, and Claire Landis, of Farmville, celebrating on Tuesday, May 7.

Dot Brown, of Richmond, spent a few days last week with her sister Ann Carter, in Dillwyn.

Our sympathy is extended to the Garrison Family of Chesterfield, Martha Garrison, 100, went home to be with the Lord. A funeral service was held April 29 at the First Baptist Church in Powhatan. She will be greatly missed by all.

Elaine Myers of Dillwyn, visited in the home of Pete and Annie May Miles in Dillwyn on Saturday afternoon, April 27.

Our sympathy is extended to the Greene Family of Rustburg. Rebecca Ann Collins Greene, wife to Dr. Wayne Greene (Pastor of Clearview Baptist Church in Rustburg) went home to be with the Lord on Monday, April 22. A funeral service was held on April 26 at Clearview Baptist Church with internment in the cemetery. She will be greatly missed by all.

The Buckingham County Christian Fellowship Association, a non-profit organization will hold their regular monthly meeting on Tuesday, May 7 at 5 p.m. at Teresa's Place, located off U.S. 15 North of Spouses Corner.

Arvonia Christian Fellowship Church, located off of U.S. 15 North of Dillwyn in Arvonia on State Route 672, will hold their regular first Sunday Gospel Sing on Sunday, May 5, at 1 p.m. Featured will be God's Singing Angels Youth Choir of Arvonia.
