MARCH 12 – Ann Smith Gillispie, 90, of Farmville formerly of Buckingham, died Saturday, March 9, 2013. She was born April 14, 1922 in Buckingham, the daughter of the late Robert Garnett and Carrie Shepard Smith. She was the widow of Carroll Gillispie Sr. and was also preceded in death by a son.

She is survived by her five children, Carol G. Grovac of Tampa, FL, Carroll Gillispie Jr. of Farmville, Emmett Davidson Gillispie, II of Onley, Marilyn G. Hanes of Charlotte, NC and Martha Jo Gillispie of Farmville; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held Friday, March 15, at 11 a.m. at Enon Baptist Church with interment in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 10 a.m.
