FEBRUARY 21 – Larry Wayne Preston, 79, passed away in Farmville on Tuesday, February 19, 2013. He was born in Bentonville, Arkansas on August 22, 1933, the son of the late Bernice and Robert Preston. He joined the navy in 1952 and stayed to retire in 1972.

Mr. Preston is survived by his children, Robert F. Preston of Winder, GA, Patrick R. Preston of Assonett, MA, and Carol M. Seale of Farmville; stepdaughter, Kitty Tubby of Arlington, TN; grandchildren, Patrick Seale and Darryl Seale; step-granddaughter, Laura Todd; great-grandchildren, Naomi Rivers, Patrick Todd Jr., and Riley Grove and two sisters, Connie Shields of Blackwell, OK and Kay Frazier of Tonkawa OK. He was preceded in death by his wife, Geraldine Preston and his first wife, Marie C. Preston.

Family will receive friends Saturday, February 23, from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. in the chapel of Puckett Funeral Home with a memorial service starting at 7 p.m.
