FEBRUARY 26 – Irene Morton Glasgow Locklair, 85, passed away on Friday, February 22, 2013. She was born on March 9, 1927 to the late Nathan Lee and Cora Denton Morton in Keysville.
She is survived by a son, Barrye D. Glasgow and wife, Diane of Mechanicville; two stepsons, Danny Locklair and wife, Bobbie of Midlothian and Terry Locklair and wife, Dawn of Stuarts Draft; grandsons, Aubrey Lee Glasgow of Glenn Allen and Kevin Groves of Fort Lauderdale, FL; great-grandson, Nathan Lee Glasgow of Mechanicsville; brother, Darius Morton and wife, Lottie of Chester; two sisters-in-law, Marjorie Carter of Charleston, SC and Grace Glasgow Handy of Farmville; brother-in-law, Clarence Schmidt of Keysville; and numerous nieces and nephews, whom she loved dearly. She is preceded in death by her first husband, Aubrey Berman Glasgow, her second husband, Daniel M. Locklair Jr. and a son, Charles Wayne Glasgow.
A funeral service was held Sunday, February 24, in the Chapel of Shorter Funeral Home. Interment followed at Mt. Harmony United Methodist Church Cemetery.
