DILLWYN, February 21 – Dr. Herbert Powell Anderson, 80, of Dillwyn, died Monday, February 18, 2013 in Charlottesville. He was born September 17, 1932 in Buckingham County, the son of the late Herbert Greenway Anderson and Alma Abernathy Anderson.

He is survived by his wife, Lora Rowe Anderson; two daughters, Currine Anderson Treadway and Dawn Anderson Robertson; five grandchildren, Bryan Foster, Stephanie Harmon, Dayne Stapleton, Chris Hutchinson and Rose Treadway; and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Cynthia Anderson Harmon.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 23 at 1 p.m. at the Dunkum Funeral Home. Interment will be private.
