JANUARY 15 – Mae Willie Watson Morton entered her heavenly home on Sunday, January 6, 2013. She was born on February 6, 1931 in Lunenburg County to the late Walter and Etta Watson. She joined Antioch Baptist Church at an early age. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church.

Memories of her sweet spirit live on in a loving husband of 61 years, Willie Horace Morton, who nicknamed her 'Bae.' Cherished loved ones also include three devoted sons and two loving daughters-in-law, the Rev. Lyle Elliott (Vera) of Alexandria, Horace Jeffery of Chesterfield and David Steven (Arnice) of Upper Marlboro, MD; eight grandchildren, Lyle, Keith, Alonzo, Cameron, David, Steven, Johnsolen, and Rachelle; eight great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, friends and a dedicated caregiver, Dale.

A funeral service was held January 12 at New Hope Baptist Church, Keysville, with the Rev. Wesley C. Tolliver, M. Div., pastor, officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery.
