December 20 – Happy Birthday wishes are sent out to Linda Miles, age 50, and Mary A. Martin, age 100, both of Cumber-land, celebrating on Friday, December 21; James Boyles, of Cumberland, celebrating on Saturday, December 22, Ralph Dun-navant, of Dillwyn, celebrating on Sunday, December 23; Ruby Gogdill, of Cumberland, and Heath Deane, of Dillwyn, cele-brating on Wednesday, December 26; and Dorothy Osborne, of Saxe and Steve Bickford, of New Canton, celebrating on Thursday, December 27.
A very special birthday wish is sent out this week to Jesus, address Heaven, celebrating on Tuesday, December 25.
Bradley Carter, of North Carolina, visited in the home of his sister, Ann Carter, in Dillwyn last week.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to all those who are sick and shut-in.
Barry and Linda Miles, of Cumberland, along with Nancy Fairchild and her mother, Ella R. Snoddy, of New Canton, enjoyed an evening of great food, fun and fellowship at Fork Union Restaurant on Monday evening, December 17.

Arvonia Christian Fellowship Church, located off of U.S. 15 North of Dillwyn in Arvonia on State Route 672, will host a very special watch night service on Monday evening, December 31, beginning at 8 p.m. and lasting to just past midnight.
Scheduled activities include testimonies, old-fashioned singing and preaching from God's Holy Word from church Pastor El-sie Butler.
