DILLWYN, December 11 – Michael L. Evangelista, born February 8, 1942, ascended to the beyond on Saturday, December 8, 2012 at age 70. A resident of Dillwyn since September 1999, he had previously resided in Doylestown, PA.

He was a graduate of Central Bucks High School Class of 1961, Doylestown, PA and Rider University, Trenton, NJ. Mr. Evangelista was commissioned a 2nd Lieutenant, US Army Ordnance Corps at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD. He served as Battalion Maintenance Officer with the 64th Quartermaster Battalion, “Petro-Main”, at Long Binh, Viet Nam, from July 1968 to June 1969. Lt. Mr. Evangelista was awarded the Bronze Star Medal for meritorious service. His interests included investing, overseas travel, Porsche automobiles, and sports car races.

Funeral services will be private. Interment will be at the Arlington National Cemetery Columbarium.
