Christmas Parade Appreciates Support

Editor, The Herald:

The Farmville Jaycees would like to thank everyone who contributed to the success of the 2012 Christmas parade. We would also like to extend a special thanks to the following: Chief Mooney and the entire Farmville Police Department, Robin Atkins and the Town of Farmville, The Chamber of Commerce, Taylor Forbes Equipment, Fourth Street Motor Co., Bridget Carrington, WFLO, WSVS, WVHL, The Farmville Herald, Jordan Miles, Dan Albus, William Lynn, Tommy Goin, Kevin Spence, Greg Fulcher, Carter Harrison, Buffalo Shook and all the fellow Farmville Jaycee members, as well as all the judges and participants. Without everyone's hard work and continued dedication this event would not be possible. So thank you all for a job well done!

Bands: 1st Cumberland High School, 2nd Central High School, (No third place winner because the other two participating bands, Prince Edward County High School and Fuqua, are hometown bands and not eligible to compete)

Horses:1st Holiday Hoofbeats, 2nd Tom Mix Rangers, 3rd No Land Farm Miniature Horses

Religious: 1st Calvary Chapel, 2nd Riverside Community Church, 3rd First Nottoway Baptist Church

Non-Religious: 1st Area 21 Special Olympics, 2nd Centra, 3rd PEFYA Darlings All-Stars
